This church dates back to the 14th century. although the tower has been rebuilt after being struck by lightening in 1881. The new tower contains three bells but only one is ever rung. to the left is a view down the church to the font that can be seen in more detail to right. this odd looking font is carved from purbeck marble and stands on eight legs, the center column is the drain. The organ seen below was installed in 1990 when the old organ was destroyed in a fire. |
