Font

The Brancaster church dates back to the 14th cent the tower being added later in the 15th cent. The tower has two clock faces on the east and west sides, also one bell. Part of the church is said to have been built from stone brought from the old Roman fort at Branodunum, just to the east of the church. The octagonal font is shown left, the elaborate cover dates to the late 15th century but has undergone restoration since that date. To the right is the east window.
